In this episode of Hustled Up, we sat down with Genevieve Kreindel, founder of the Off Duty Moms Club, and let’s just say — this conversation hit deep.
This was our first time really getting to know Genevieve, and from the first few minutes, we knew she was bringing a powerful (and very needed) perspective to the table. As a mom, entrepreneur, and community builder, Genevieve is on a mission to challenge the idea that becoming a mom means losing yourself entirely —and she does it with honesty, humor, and zero fluff.

The Problem With “Mommy Martyrdom”
We talk a lot about the stigma moms face when they choose themselves. The idea that if you take time for your mental health, your hobbies, your body, or your goals, you’re somehow being selfish. Genevieve calls this out for what it is: mommy martyrdom — and she shares why opting out of that mindset changed everything for her.
From better mental health to having more energy, stronger boundaries, and a fuller life, Genevieve explains how putting herself first didn’t take anything away from her family — it made her a better mom, partner, and human.
From Survival Mode to Self-Trust
Genevieve opens up about her personal journey, including pregnancy during COVID, losing her sense of community, and slowly slipping into burnout over the years. She shares the moment everything changed — the “light switch” decision where she knew she couldn’t live in survival mode anymore.
Over the course of 16 months, she rebuilt her life from the inside out: prioritizing fitness, mental health, rediscovering hobbies, and ultimately finding herself again. That journey became the foundation for the Off Duty Moms Club, which launched in late 2025 and has already grown into a powerful, welcoming community.
Building a Community (Not a Highlight Reel)
One of our favorite parts of this conversation was talking about authenticity — showing up aspirational and real. Genevieve shares how she intentionally avoids the overly curated influencer vibe and instead focuses on creating a space where women feel safe showing up exactly as they are.
Her events and content are designed for women who want connection, growth, and joy — without needing to have it all together. And yes, she confirms: you do not have to be a mom to be part of the Off Duty Moms Club (which was good news for us 😅).
Letting Go of the Guilt
We also dive into mom guilt — why it’s so deeply ingrained, how it shows up, and how to start releasing it. Genevieve shares two powerful mindset shifts that help moms reclaim time for themselves without spiraling into guilt — and why modeling self-care is actually a gift to your kids.
Whether you’re a mom, future mom, business owner, or just a woman trying to do all the things, this episode is a reminder that you’re allowed to be a whole person.
